A few years ago, my buddy Judd Feldman and I went on a round-the-World tour for just over 3 months, we managed to see over 30 countries and had one hell of a time and it is something that I would recommend to everyone. There is something about travel and the experiences which it can give you that just makes people happy and if you have never traveled then you need to do so as soon as possible. There is no age limit on going traveling and whether you have just left school or your kids have just left home, you have the freedom and flexibility to go and see the World. Here is exactly why I think that everyone should travel at least once in their life.
Meeting People
When you get out of the bubble of your daily life and travel you will meet a vast range of different people from around the World. Each person will add a little something to your character or your psyche as you learn about their story. Generally speaking, those who travel are more open people and will be more than happy to let you into their lives. When you are in town and everyone is running about with their daily tasks, they often shut themselves down and it can be hard to meet new people, when you travel, you can’t get out of the way of meeting new and interesting people.
Emotional Education
Once you start seeing how other people and cultures operate you will have a far greater appreciation for what you have and you will also learn a great deal about the World and what it takes to be happy. You will see people in poverty, you will see people doing great things and you will see a whole different way of life that reminds you just how big the World really is. Traveling will also educate you on how important it is to be helpful, when we were on the road there were people from all over the World who, out of the goodness of their heart, helped us to overcome quite a few obstacles. The World is one big family and traveling will remind you of that.
Amazing Sights
When people go on vacation for a week or two to the beach, they amy be traveling but they are not exploring the World and when you go traveling you can see some incredible sights. Whatever it is that you want to see, you can do it, the Taj Mahal, Christ the Redeemer, the Eiffel Tower, whatever the sight is, you can travel to it on your tour. You will also find sights that you never knew existed or never considered visiting that will blow your mind. The idea of traveling is to explore and when you explore you will find some sights that will truly take your breath away.
